Soccer-Specific Speed & Strength Training
For many years, the main focus of soccer training has been aerobic conditioning (long distance running). However, in order to be a great soccer player, an athlete must also be able to run fast (speed), change direction quickly (agility & quickness), and jump high (explosiveness). Specific strength exercises and footwork drills can help soccer players of all ages become dominant players on the field.
In the near future, Central Kentucky Weightlifting will post soccer-specific strength training articles and videos in hopes of aiding the physical development of the soccer players in the Lexington / Georgetown / Frankfort area.
